One of those remarkable shops that combines real courtesy with total competence. Needed to solve a problem in time to get one of our trucks to an important job. Tried five different shops beforehand, nobody would touch it because it required a combination of creative thinking and a ton of experience - and it needed to be done the same day. Chris, the manager, missed his lunch break to try and figure out what the hell was wrong. Pulled up all sorts of information on the net, and quickly zeroed in on a solution that turned out to be dead on. Charged a fair price, and that was that. Great vibe in the shop too, friendly and no-nonsense.

Chris is always on point with providing information and options for repairs. I've taken my truck here several times over the past few years for minor repairs to major repairs (eg: transmission replacement) and have always been more than satisfied with their work.

My Subaru stranded me in Berkeley -- 100 miles from home -- on two occasions. Both times, Oceanworks Berkeley gave it quick attention, solved the problems, and respected by budget. I only wish there was a branch near me.

Oil change for my 2016 Subaru Outback--I was in 10 minutes early, and out an hour 10 minutes later. A customer ahead of me was attended to promptly and efficiently, and so was I. The assigned mechanic worked on the Outback, noticed some wear on the tires--probably due to shocks--and rotated the tires. I was impressed. These guys are looking after my car and me. A business that cares about keeping my Outback in good working order, keeping me advised and fixing things before they become problems. A business you want to partner with.

Spoke with Les. He said the staff does good work and the owner is good.

I've been going to Oceanworks Berkeley for -- I don't know how many years. I wouldn't take my 2001 Subaru anyplace else.
