Chris and Andy were very helpful and informative. This is my third time taking my car to get serviced at Oceanworks Berkeley. They answered all my questions and provided great service. I had issues with passing Smog. I took my car to the dealer for a quote. Andy and Chris provided a better quote and better customer service. I didn't anticipate all theses issues or realize how much labor would be required. They fixed my catalytic converter and spark plugs in a reasonable time. I recommend their service and will be going back to them.

You will not find any repair shop that provides better service than Oceanworks. They're highly competent; detail-oriented (their Honda guy made note of several things I should pay attention to that the dealer never mentioned); honest (they never try to push you to do any extra work and they always help you prioritize within your budget if that's what you need); and their attitude toward service and their customers is beyond anything I've ever experienced anywhere else. I adore them and I will never take my car anywhere else. (When I had a domestic, I took it next door to Oceanworks Berkeley, so I've been hooked on them for years.)

It sometimes feels difficult finding a mechanic that is honest and reliable. I have been bringing my car to Oceanworks Berkeley for some time now because I never have had to question the work, honesty, or reliability here. Chris, the owner, is easy and enjoyable to work with.

Being a woman I was very nervous about going to another auto repair shop, because typically they tend to take advantage of females. So, I have been praying and asking God to lead me to a honest, reputable, company that won't take advantage of me and tell me that I need something done on my car when I really don't. As a side note, the last repair shop that I took my car to, got $1,000 out of me in the course of one month, for 3 different repairs that I later found out that they more than likely caused the issued to appear, as if I needed to have those repairs done! Long story short, God answered my prayer! And from the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by Chris with a very calming, pleasant, and welcoming demeanor, I really felt that I could trust him and OCEANWORKS 2. It turned out to be an awesome experience! They did not know the noises that I was hearing in my car, but when he called me to tell me about what they found he said that they located 4 possible culprits that could have caused the issue that I brought it in for. And the main culprit was a very loose screw. They tigtighte the screw, the noise went away, and I only had to pay for a half hour labor, which was the time it took them to look over the four possible culprits to my issue! They have WON A CLIENT FOR LIFE!!!!!!!
